FAQS
HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION?
There are a few ways to make initial contact; either send an email, text, call or use the contact form.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM COUNSELLING?
Before you begin your counselling journey you will be invited for a pre-session. This is free of charge and will give you time to meet me and ask any questions. You will be talked through the counselling contract where I will explain what is expected from each person throughout this journey and you can discuss how many sessions you will have before a review and how regularly you could attend sessions. If you decide this is right for you, you will then attend your sessions as booked. Your sessions will last 50 minutes, I will inform you of the time just before your session ends to make sure you are in a safe and comfortable place before you leave.
HOW CAN COUNSELLING HELP?
By being in a non-judgmental, empathic and safe environment I will support you as you explore various issues. Person Centred Therapy believes you are the expert, not the counsellor. Person Centred Therapy can help with Anxiety - Depression - Relationship issues - Trauma - PTSD - Loss and Bereavement - Stress - Mental wellbeing
WHO WILL KNOW I AM HAVING COUNSELLING?
Your counselling sessions are completely confidential so no one will know you are attending counselling. If a family member or employer calls to ask about your counselling they will not receive any acknowledgment that you are attending sessions. Any notes will be anonymised and stored securely so there is no link to yourself. If there is a risk of harm to yourself or someone else then your counsellor is ethically bound to report it to their supervisor but they will endeavour to talk to you first about this

I am qualified and fully insured. I will take the time to explain your session and how any information is stored. Please ask if you have any questions or concerns.
